  1. What are Wireless PC Modem Cards?

    Wireless PC Modem Cards allow you to access the internet with your laptop at broadband speeds anywhere where DOCOMO PACIFIC provides Data service in the same way your data enabled mobile device access’s data services.

  2. Can I travel abroad with the Wireless PC Modem Cards?

    Yes. We offer more roaming destinations (countries) than any other local provider. If data roaming service is available in the country you are traveling to, you will be able to access the Internet using the Wireless PC Modem Cards. Contact our Customer Care Department to determine if data roaming service is available in the country you are  traveling to.

  3. Will I have access to all Internet features that I am used to?

    Yes. You will be able to browse the internet, check your e-mails, send and receive instant messages, and stay in touch with your favorite social networks. With the PC Modem Cards, your communication options are endless.

  4. What data speeds are available?

    We have various data plans to choose from, ranging from 128 kbps to 2.0 mbps.

  5. Do I need to subscribe to an Internet Service Provider to use Wireless PC Modem Cards?

    No. You Internet data access utilizes the same network that your data enabled handsets use.

  6. Does DOCOMO PACIFIC provide an e-mail address for use with the Wireless Modem PC Cards?

    No. However, you are able to check your existing e-mail address via web access (such as Yahoo!, Google, MSN, etc.). Additionally, if your company provides web-based e-mail access, you will be able to access it as well. 

  7. How do I get the service activated?

    Contact our Customer Care Department at 483-CARE or visit any of our store locations. You will have to subscribe to one of our Max Data plans.

  8. Are any special devices or software required for the service?

    Yes. In selecting a Max Data plan, you will need to install the PC Card and accompanying software. 

  9. While using the Wireless PC Modem Cards to access the internet, will my data be secured?

    Yes. DOCOMO PACIFIC provides authentication and data encryption. We recommend that you use a VPN and firewall to provide additional security to protect your data.

  10. How much does the Wireless PC Modem Cards cost?

    Cost will vary according to the plan in which you choose. Additionally, there are additional kilobit charges should you exceed the data limit associated with the plan you select. Contact our Customer Care Department at 483-CARE to inquire about the different rate plans.

  11. Does sending or receiving file attachments affect my usage?

    Yes. Attachment varies in size and will affect your quota and billing.
